Dr. Tammy S. Smith| Founder, President, CEO

Dr. Tammy Smith is an accomplished Epidemiologist dedicated to shaping public health initiatives with precision and compassion. She currently specializes in healthcare-associated infections, orchestrating comprehensive screening and surveillance programs for multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) and foodborne illnesses.

Dr. Smith has served as a public health consultant at various health care centers and non-profits where she applies her expertise as a program and project manager, along with her analytical prowess as an evaluator. Her academic journey began at Meredith College, culminating in a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, followed by the attainment of a Master’s and Doctorate in Public Health from Capella University. She further augmented her skills with a Post-Master’s Certificate in Epidemiology, a Grant Writer Certificate, and certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Her exceptional academic achievements earned her induction into The National Society of Leadership and Success.

Dr. Smith’s professional trajectory spans diverse realms, including groundbreaking research at Duke University Medical Center, extensive experience in toxicology, LCMS instrumentation training and statistical analysis for projects. Her collaborative spirit shines through co-authored publications with Dr. Jogin Wu, reflecting her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge. In 2018, she founded Inspired Now Networks, Inc. (INN), a non-profit dedicated to leveraging community-based models to address health disparities in impoverished settings.
